On an education show "A Good Lesson" produced by CCTV, Fan Di'an, dean of Central Academy of Arts, regards Jingdezhen Imperial Kiln Museum as an architectural epitome of Chinese artistic spirit.
"Today, I wanted to briefly discuss how to amplify our imagination, express our culture, and form them into an aesthetic object. First of all, the beauty of environment and poetic inhabitant. These concepts are no stranger to us, we encounter with them oftenly in Ancient Chinese literatures. We' re all aware of the space around us and their uniqueness — the space where we live, study, and work. The question is how do we build ourselves a more comfortable and inviting space?
...Zhu Pei is an advocator for "the architecture of nature". The elements of architecture design should come from its surrounding ecological environment. His architectures take functions into account, yet also calling for a spiritual return toward nature through the architectural materials and forms."
