Zhu Pei Advanced VI Studio Final Reviews was held at GSAPP, Columbia University
On May.3rd 2016, Zhu Pei Advanced VI Studio Final Reviews was held at GSAPP, Columbia University. The Studio theme is “Nature Inspired Design”，focused on local primitive Material and Typology. Dali Museum of Contemporary Art was regarded as the studio design project. Professor Zhu was trying to make the students find a principle of how nature shapes architecture, understand the fundamental conversation between nature and architecture, then help realizing the essential of architecture.
A number of famous architects and artists were invited to participate in teaching and evaluating, such as the architectural historian and critic Kenneth Frampton, one of the most famous modern architects in America Steven Holl, the former Dean of GSAPP Mark Wigley, the Dean of GSAPP Amale Andraos, the deputy dean of CAUP-Tongji University Li Xiangning, the Principal of TM STUDIO Tong Ming, the curator of New Britain Museum of American Art Min Jung Kim and etc.
