October 7, 2021, the Wienerberger Brick Award 22 nomination list was officially announced, Jingdezhen Imperial Kiln Museum, designed by Studio Zhu Pei, was successfully shortlisted for the" Sharing public space" category.
Brick Award was founded by Wienerberger in 2004 and is held every two years to commend outstanding brick architecture and architects from all around the world. It is known as " The highest honor of brick architecture in the world ".
The winners within the categories and the Grand Prize are selected by an international jury of well-known architects, including Brigitte Shim, a founding partner of Shim-Sutcliffe Architects, a tenured professor of the University of Toronto, Tina Gregoric, a founding partner of Dekleva Gregorič Architects,a professor of Architecture and head of Department of Architectural Typology and Design at Vienna University of Technology, Ingrid van der Heijden, a partner architect of CIVIC Architects, Jesper Gottlieb, a founding partner of Gottlieb Paludan Architects, Wilfried Kuehn, a partner of the architecture bureau Kuehn Malvezzi, curator and author.
The Wienerberger Brick Award album,“Brick 22” containing nominated projects will be released globally by Park Books Press next summer.
