From November 6, 2021 to April 6,2022, the Jingdezhen Imperial Kiln Museum、Majiayao Runis Observatory、Shou County Culture and Art Center and Yang Liping Performing Arts Center designed by Studio Zhu Pei were invited to participate in the "Super Fusion-2021 Chengdu Biennale" organized by Chengdu Tianfu Art Museum and Chengdu Contemporary Art Museum. Annual exhibition. The works are exhibited in the "Urban Co-Habitation" section.
As a vast artistic event, the Biennale consists of 8 themed exhibitons, which are entitled "Polymorphic Co-Existence", "Urban Co-Habitation", "Technological Co-Respondence", "Zeigeist Co-Evolution", "Ecological Co-Development", "Craft Co-Operation","Ethnic Co-Creation", and "Artistic Co-Inspiration". The exhibition section is composed of 17 parallel exhibition sections. It shows the visual performance of "Fusion" from different aspects such as artistic thoughts, architectural construction, ecological awareness, and fashion trends; it also opens up the interior and exterior spaces of the art gallery, and blends the artwork with the environment.
"Urban Co-Habitation"
The focus of this section ranges from urban heritage protection to urban renewal, from community culture to landscape architecture, and from urban functions to smart life issues. 41 artists and designers were invited to focus on architecture through 90 pieces/groups of works in the relationship between design, art and cities in the process of modernization. The exhibition has both architectural models and rich images and videos, combined with project descriptions to present the audience with the latest appearance of the current architecture.
